1. The tester:
In the "prior" stack the "Power Check" tester has a short red segment side 0% and a long yellow lextrémité segment reached 100% when the battery is new. It is understood that WHEN IT remains only the red segment the battery is replaced.
In the "new" battery yellow segment is replaced by 3 segments: two green segments on the side 100% and 1 yellow segment before the red segment. I understand (but I'm not sure nen) that these indicators are intended similar to traffic lights: green light, yellow light (yellow here) and red light. But the packaging nexplique not this new and I have not found dexplication the Duracell site.
Quoiquil Either I do not see how this could be a new step forward for the user. It seems, instead, introduce a risk of confusion.
But, in general, the tester does not seem an unnecessary gadget but a useful function to avoid waste. Indeed, if a battery is no longer usable for a given product, that does not mean what is unusable for other products. For example if a device requires that the voltage does not drop below dune given value (eg 1.3 volt) battery can continue to be used for less demanding device such quune flashlight.
2. Presentation of the batteries.
As for the previous batch for the new batch, the packaging, at least in its readable portion (the front directions are almost illegible), provides information in English only. While the battery with the tester, is represented by a drawing, but you have to read to understand that it comes langlais dune stack in the Duracell range, lasts the longest.
Jobserve also that the packaging of the previous batch mentions technology "Duralock" that is supposed to keep the energy for 10 years, while this indication disappeared from the packaging of the new lot.
But this indication appears on blue Lanneau the body of the new battery, without mentioning the 10 years. Jose hoped that this difference in presentation does not hide degradation.
Finally I do not have a use of such batteries which are exhausted in a few days so I can not determine their durability. But I do not doubt their quality, even without the test rabbit's famous advertising
