This CD is a wonderful snapshot of Simon & Garfunkel, recorded at the Lincoln Center in New York on 22 January 1967. The quality and mastering allows for those of 35 years old recording nothing to be desired. Four of the 19 tracks were already released on the box set "Old Friends". Unfortunately there is no "Red Rubber Ball", but which is included in "Old Friends". What will be the music industry probably thinking? Anyway, the atmosphere of this board is unique, because the voices of Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel were on that day in top form. The trick is that Mr. Simon the entire concert accompanied only by his brilliant acoustic guitar that he caresses sometimes tender. So come Spartan, but very soulful version of "Homeward Bound," "A Hazy Shade Of Winter", "A Poem On The Underground Wall", "The Sound of Silence" etc. beautiful and timeless therefore. gooseflesh is guaranteed, therefore necessarily buy, really belongs in every Simon & Garfunkel Collection, even if they previously contained only "Bridge Over Troubled Water". Incidentally, I have preferred the limited digipak version. The booklet contains some nice black and white photos and informative liner notes.
