Sept. sometimes moving stories, sometimes dramatic unfortunately uneven, my favorite is the refuge of El Pietro but JC Rufin didnt mind and incisive pen enough for my taste. It is far from a Kipling (I just read a book, the comparison left no doubt) or of a Maupassant.
Nevertheless, this is nice and easy to read, so do not hide his pleasure!
