Jean Pierre, retired, childless widower and a little gruff, ends up in the hospital after an accident for which he has no memory ...
Here it is, immobilized by nasty fractures in his room .... leaving him time to rethink his life and make some meetings (the young man who saved a little girl without embarrassment, the inspector who investigates his accident, hospital staff) that will eventually break its shell old grouch ...

Even if the next meeting is less pronounced than in novels like "head uncultivated" or "Highly future," written by Marie-Sabine Roger (a little less raw, this time) is always pleasant to read. .. and it's a real pleasure to get to know this old grumpy man.

This book is based in fact about a painting of the hospital environment, which is described with great finesse and humor and the balance sheet of a tinted life of selfishness and loneliness ... that on meetings in themselves that are less excavated than in his other novels .. It remains a story full of tenderness, poetry, small finely found formulas ("A blunder from the heart to forgive more readily that comfortable silence ") and a nice little time reading .....
