"The ordinary combat" Manu is a Larcenet thereof. the story is simple, childlike drawing enough yet, it works beautifully! We follow the hero, Marco, in the ups and downs of his life over the four volumes of the series. Marco is afraid of changing his life ... Fearing change, he will be faced with yet great upheavals of life: love, mourning, the world is changing without asking our opinion ... And we follow in the process of learning to live with, little by little.
The first volume presents the young Marco, a little lost in life, prone to anxiety attacks and lives isolated in the countryside. Coincidence or not, it will be several meetings that will force it to open to the world. What cat con!
The design is quite simple but yet very effective, looks games are very successful, emotions well transcribed.
"The ordinary combat" is a very human cartoon about the condition and human relations. It teaches not much in itself, it is not very philosophical and very similar to a very intimate life course. Yet there has a message that shines rather bright: life is hard, you have to learn to live with because after, it could be great!
I bought four books, read and bought to give to a girlfriend :)
