Lauryn Hill's very beautiful and unusual voice, I noticed already in the "Fugees". It was clear that I absolutely had to have her solo album. Their songs are a great mix of intelligent, sensitive texts, coupled with a great out mix of soul, rap and jazz, as well as an exceptionally good voice. If you then plus their other "roles" takes (mother of 2 children, social engagement, wife of Bob Marley's son, producer etc. etc.) I can only say: Hats off, and with just the mid 20th I bet this album is a real classic, also because of the intermediate texts from the school lesson (it was worth it as time to listen!). Especially the song "To Zion" (her son), "When It Hurts So Bad" and "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill" makes me happy. Press, among others from so much life experience that one wonders when this -in their age - has already made all. Her deep religiosity is reflected in the songs, without ever acting "Frömmig". Everything comes across very genuine. Hear and listen to a CD on.
