Much has been criticized so bad port from the PC to the PS3. All I can say that I had playing time though to do to now 9 hours with stuttering and the graphic part really is reminiscent of Gothic 2 times, but does the world go by but yet so consistent that after prolonged play longer sees the big picture , as a single texture errors etc., so at least me the modest graphics have not really bothered. Although the bucking between is not necessarily beautiful, but as long as you do not specifically focused on you take it at some point hardly had or think: "Forget it"
The game itself fascinates me, however, as no other game has done it in a long time. Now I know again why I enjoyed playing the Gothic series 10 years ago. On the one hand the game has something pleasantly reassuring, since it altogether apart from the struggles much less hectic than so many other game. Nevertheless, one never feels bored, but it is consistently a basic tension that is created by the uncanny vivid character portrayal, the humorous dialogues (you barely feel the need to just click through as with some other game, but listening makes this really fun) the interestingly designed game world and the pleasant amount of quests. The combat system is more convenient, but there are for me less fighting than the great atmosphere that make this game.
Therefore, I must say that I can give a strong buy recommendation despite the porting issues because the great game, the technical shortcomings literally outshines itself. But I give only 4 stars for the Gedamtprodukt because it would have been ultimately better porting significantly in spite of everything on the PS3, because it is actually much more capable. Overall, I now understand how difficult it is to evaluate this game, so the best way is probably to the game once borrow somewhere and see if a technology problems very disturbing. If not, then you will definitely get a great game.
