This book is one of the finest I've read on the subject. First it challenges all preconceptions (often silly), rehashed and advanced by policies or columnists to replace the characteristics of the German economy in its real and historical context. Thanks to the work we fully understand the mechanisms that lead to the current success of the German economy, and we understand how these successes are difficult to reproduce elsewhere, especially in France. The book still offers some particularly interesting axes for France and the partial redesign of its industry become necessary. The writing is clear and erudite, powerful and extremely pleasant to read. The book is for me a level equivalent to that in his time was Thinking backwards, Benjamin Coriat. Read in any case of emergency.
