A woman sometimes endearing, touching its fragility, desperate to save her husband, ready to sell, sometimes annoying by his stubbornness, his despair and sometimes whims.
There was also Max, the disabled child, that child stolen childhood, reaching maturity, intelligence and modesty.
There is Michael, the husband prisoner camps and prisoner of the image of the wife he thought back unchanged ...
And then there is the viewer of this slow and inexorable fall we guess rather sadly the end.
This novel is not very large but it is so rich in feelings, emotions, characters so different. Everything is discussed with great modesty.
