Better Than Home (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Beth Hart is certainly one of the few singers who sounded equally at home in the blues, soul and rock other. The her voice is incredibly catchy, very individual, has a lot of, a lot of soul and has never angesträngt.

And with this voice in his luggage this time she has almost without exception (such as "I'm In The Mood 'and' Trouble ') grossed more or less quiet pieces. That was the first run not only unusual but also a bit strange: "When is the time now 's real hammer?" Especially since the last albums were often created with the support of Joe Bonamassa - therefore had a lot of blues-rock.
But at least the 2nd Listen was the spark: This album sounds again after more Beth Hart in front of her album 'Do not Explain', has more in common with, for example, '37 Days' (but a little softer, not quite impressively).
Of course, Beth Hart is supported by an incredibly good band, but the star is definitely it: You wrote all the pieces and sings them with a lot of depth - the band accompanies / supports them perfectly.

This is definitely a pretty cool soul / blues album, and definitely not a throwback: What is implied in the predecessor 'Bang Bang Boom Boom' was performed here perfectly on! Beth Hart is with her voice again at the center - and that's a good thing :-)
