After plenty of runs I can only say that "El Pintor" a compact album has become, without filler, guitar driven, less synth use, with driving Fogarino drums like "Anywhere" (here I associated intuitive "Not even jail") and generally many goosebumps moments, including one of my favorites "My Blue Supreme".
Banks icy baritone is prominent on this album again that I've missed, in some sequences, he even sounds like on "turn on the bright lights".
The production looks back stronger and more harmonious!
It is also clear that Carlos Dengler no lack. Banks also mastered the bass!
After the self-titled, but rather aimless previous album and the pretentious "Our Love to Admire" (which I also like to listen to), I would call "El Pintor" music with "Antics" on an equal footing and that's for all Interpol fans a very good reference!
