The sound aesthetic highlights of the plate forming my opinion Salvaging, that reminds me by its stylistic brokenness to Anesthetize, and the energetic No Twilight Within The Courts Of The Sun and a little later the following quasi-sequel Twilight Coda - Jordan Rudess' Piano version. Even the almost lethargic-looking Abandoner belongs to this series. These pieces Wilson shows probably the most impressive thing he can. Get All You Deserve unfortunately remains not really hang even after repeated listening; no real loss, but the only slip into mediocrity. The conclusion is the title track already called Insurgentes, also beautifully accompanied by Dream Theater pianist Rudess.
One gets the impression, Wilson threw an interested look back into the past to its early days and has worked its various stations with twenty years more experience once more. The result is nothing less than the life's work set to music Wilson, a self-created retrospective. There is no album you love from the first moment, but I bow before!
