As a "star gazer" and hiking enthusiast, I have many a telescope and binoculars, the device is not mounted on a tripod (in the truest sense of the word) in mind gehabt.Wenn, it is held by hand, a shake of the subject image is usually inevitable. This is especially true in small "pocket binoculars" to which one likes, carries because of the weight while hiking. - The image stabilizer of Canon binoculars 10x30 IS was new to me and convinced me, I'm thrilled! The glass is safe and comfortable in the hand, the stabilization button is easy to operate even with gloved fingers. Size and weight of the telescope are well justified also for hiking enthusiasts in the contemplation of nature. The optical properties are excellent in my opinion, the price-performance ratio. The design is a bit unusual, but the exterior appealing. The supplied functional black bag gives the Canon binoculars 10x30 IS an elegant touch. Five "star" match my conviction.
