"Hello, I Must Be Going" is musically roughly in the same direction as the previous "Face Value". Ballads we find rather rare, overall it is quite fast, so the album is different but rather from later works of Phil. The already known from the previous drum sound is perfected and here is something like a trademark of Phil. `I don`t care anymore`, `I can not believe it`s true`,` Do you know, do you care` and `Thru thesis walls` are highlights and could also stand on Genesis albums the same time. However, the hit single `You can`t hurry love` do not like me and pulls the album down a bit.
With "Hello" Phil has bewisen that "Face Value" was no fluke. In the coming years, he became a superstar, no matter how one stands to his music. "Hello" ends up every now and then in my player, so here are 4 stars to represent. Unfortunately he then drifted more and more into the mainstream, but that's another story.
