Customer Review

That's a great story sobering gentle life ... We follow a young bourgeois Kyoto that the nineteenth century will embark on an incredible journey from Japan to India and Nepal. This trip is inside first while his country is at the same time express itself and become westernized at great speed in order to compete with the major European nations. This book borrowing very wise and very tolerant, visit many aspects of our contemporary materialism but through the eyes of this young become a Buddhist monk in search of Truth.
To put all hands! This book can be read as a superb opening and introduction to spiritual traditions of the East even if one knows nothing ...
Thank you to the author for this great novel.
