A thriller that I like !!

First, talking about the cover: it is just wow, it is terrifying as was the atmosphere of the novel. The eyes of this man are scary, you feel all the madness of the Prince. So really a big applause for that perfect cover !!! I hope to have the chance to see see if the paper is made as beautiful !!

It is with great anticipation that I awaited this second part, yet I had to wait a month after my discovery of the first part The badge of lame, but hey when you hang the characters and history can not wait to find them.

We find here the characters from the first, who are trying somehow to get on with their lives. The Prince was tried and sent to a mental hospital. But the situation will degenerate again ...

In this sequel include Jeanne more traumatized than ever, she consults a shrink, is taken from insomnia and fear at any time of recurrence, which is called the Prince. I must admit that at the beginning of the novel, she just typed on the nerves with his behavior but ultimately through the pages of history and we rediscover Jeanne that we experienced in the first part. In The badge of lame, it was already facing his neuroses but they are worse. Then, there are also characters like Falier, former commander in retirement that has changed physically. However I really found the complicity between Jeanne and her captivating, almost as if he wanted to protect her like a father. Bareuil is always the same, unhealthy and hard man to pin down, then we also find the journalist François Lartigue and the policeman.

Of course there are also new characters, including Elizabeth, her psychologist safe and very arrogant (personally this is the type of woman I hate ...). I do not want spoiler so I just want to say that it will play a very important role in the first part of so much ^^ held the book.

The author's pen is always pleasant here than in the early adventures, however, we see through the first part (based more on the treatment of patients with HP) that the author is much documented the subject and control very well, which makes it really realistic story.

And in terms of the end ... I will say that the author thoroughly master the suspense because, despite all my assumptions, I have not managed to find the right ... and then I'd love it or not like, some prefer guess a little before the end, me personally I prefer to keep the suspense until the end.

Conclusion: The result of Jeanne adventures and his band really is worth a look, a second volume as good as the first. So if you have not read The badge of lame: go for it. And if you discovered as well ... rush to the second, you will not be disappointed !!
