The first track is the same time his first single "Only in my head". This melodic song is about daydreaming, where anything is possible for us. The title says it all: The song manages rapidly to establish himself in the head and there to stay for a small eternity.
Already at the next track "miracle" is distinguished from clear what constitutes the main part of this album. There are the lyrics. Andreas Bourani it, with his words to create images and thus to make the songs more vivid succeed. The music is rather cryptic, but still contributes a lot to the atmosphere.
But even if the sung is at the center, we have also been thinking in music. The song "Iceberg" starts strong and always shows more musical diversity. There is a constant interplay between loud and quiet. This underlines once more the text - it has two faces, one of which is hidden, and the other is shown.
At the end of the CD is Bourani limited in the songs on an instrument. In "Stranger Planet" can be heard only a piano. It describes the conflict with itself. On the other hand, it is said, I am as I am. But there are also doubts. A beautiful ballad. The last song "You let me go" is only accompanied by a guitar that comes only minimalistic used. Again a highlight at the end.
An album that invites daydreaming. Andreas Bourani has delivered a very nice debut, which already convinces alone with his lyrics. The music does the rest. A true pop poet.
