The Killers get their name from the New Order video "Crystal". Probably because New Order are probably the big idols. The band comes from Las Vegas, but put here with their debut - CD before a complete "Un-American" CD: Without mainstream - rock without Nu-Metal. But rather sensitive pop-rock that sounds like a mix of just New Order, Travis, Cure, Franz Ferdinand, Coldplay, Oasis, U2 and placebo. The CD lives of unexpected, lively melodies, complicated, solid bass playing, interesting rhythm changes on the drums, guitars and extraordinary high, sweet Keyboard - passages. The disc is so interesting that one of the amazed hardly finds. I've never heard an American band that has such a sense of fine, melancholic melodies and still makes rock. The keyboards are used so skillfully, the drums always changes at the right time the rhythm, the high guitars levitate yourself. These repeatedly Tambourines. Just lovely. Highlights: * Jenny was a friend of mine: Strong melody, vastly cool groovy bass and strange keyboards give already the opener exactly the direction of the CD before. * Belive me Natalie: Maybe the best song for Coldplay's "Clocks". Keyboards and guitars create a special kind of bliss, then come at the end even trumpets for use! * Midnight song sounds 1: 1 by Franz Ferdinand, only better. * Mr Brightside is the 2nd single from the CD. Fast drums, mighty melodies in the chorus and great guitars make this song a real experience! * Smile like you mean it: What can I say? I am blown away, a masterpiece. New Order bass lines, guitars U2, Placebo Drums and Keyboards Cure amalgamate into a true pop gem! I've heard in months, no more CD, which surprised me so busy and has carried away: I need this CD constantly hear, although I am otherwise rather to harder stuff. Lest anyone get me wrong: It's quite a rock - CD, but it is a melancholy, yet saccharine. Who the aforementioned Britpop / rock heroes stands on sound, is happy with this CD definitely. All others I can put this masterpiece only warmly recommend. Rock at its best.
