General:
Installation of the latest counterparts the Battlefield series went smoothly as usual and place without problems. After the download followed by a little over 1 GB Updates (as of 08.01.2014), which, however, in today's Games is admittedly annoying commonplace. On the plate is BF4 (including China Rising Pack) makes then wide with 30.9 GB.
In multiplayer you get BF3-usual by the Battlelog browser plug-ins. In my entire time (since 19 December), I did not even have server problems. The connection to the servers has never been broken, and the game itself is also never crashed. So I have made very opposite experience than many previous speakers. Maybe I just get lucky? Since not much has changed in the Battlelog, in my view, we now proceed to the interesting points, as the gameplay graphics and maps.
Graphics:
Graphically plays the shooter definitely in the top flight. It is thanks to Frostbite 3 engine more broken than in the predecessor and the graphic quality was once again significantly upgraded. Only the anti-aliasing options are somewhat limited and can be despite best possible settings occasionally see a slight flickering. The general performance, I am very satisfied. With me everything is running smoothly and without major performance problems. Only in the maps of China Rising expansion pack, every now and again to frame drops what it is likely that no fixes have appeared.
Gameplay:
What is new is that the maps throughout the game change (Levolution). For example, due to a plunge aftershock building on a Map, storms pull and more. Also the player can shut down a button latticed shutters to showcase, close doors or activate drive-through locks on the street. This is really fun and creates a varied gaming experience with constantly changing running and driveways.
The structure of the cards is very good. So a battle on middle distance is possible even in tight locations such as surgery Locker. Even if your team has failed, there are always ways to get free. Exactly bothered tremendously in BF3 and BF4 belongs in the past.
Furthermore, there is the opportunity to assume the role of commander. This does not actively participate in combat, but can request based on an overview map of the Map cruise missile strikes, can throw ammunition or enlighten the area around his teammates on the battlefield with drones. The Commander can also be controlled via an app on your tablet or smartphone. But since I do not own a compatible device, all I can give them a rating.
Also new is the evaluation of the kill assists. If to the enemy great harm, but manages not to eliminate it, the Kill-aid still flows than Kill in the statistics. So you have to fret over Abstauber be much rarer. Good solution!
Weapons and game modes:
There are eight different game modes, most of which are known, I will therefore not go into this. It has an outstanding new Obliteration mode. A randomly placed on the map must be attached bomb the enemy at various points. A good idea in my opinion.
The weapon selection in BF4 is simply enormous and will be extended through countless essays, handles and visors again. All have different effect on the weapon handling. This creates a lot of (tactical) possibilities to modify his weapon. To date, no weapon stabbed out as particularly overpowered or unbalanced. In general, the developers have done a great job here.
Biggest gripe, Netcode:
For me the only criticisable component is poorly written Netcode. Low server and client Tick Council ensure that you almost always easily set in the past. The result is that players off every now and then each other, you will be hit by bullets even though you already stands behind the cover or you opponents simply looks too late to react. Lay or server already in BF3. Client tickrate at a low level. In BF4 it has become even worse, although it has been promised by DICE rectify. Improvement is urgently needed at the latest in the current situation. Here we can only hope that the net code will be fixed promptly.
Conclusion:
Would I recommend this shooter? Yes, I would. In my opinion, BF4 deserves more than two stars. We see graphically and gameplay-sided a game that despite the net code problems makes enormous fun, and more importantly, more fun than BF3!
