Anyone familiar with the films or the corresponding soundtracks of Quentin Tarantino, who knows that the man does not give a damn about any trends or styles of music. Classical Scores exist just as hip Hits in the world of "Pulp Fiction" -Machers, instead digs the good man again and again forgotten pearls of surfers era out of mothballs or surprised with Seventies-funk at its best. The soundtrack to the rather bloody geratenen "Kill Bill" is no exception. DC anticipate one thing - who wants to buy this CD because of the brilliant soundtrack of the trailer (like me) who can do so with total confidence. The song goes by the title "Battle Without Honor or Humanity" comes from the Japanese composer Tomoyasu Hotei and the 9 tracks on the CD. But the rest can be heard. "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)" is a thoughtful ballad, sung by Nancy Sinatra in Country & Western-style: The CD for Tarantino ratios begins fairly quiet, almost sad. And because it is so beautiful in the West, it is so merrily. "That Certain Female" is Rockabilly at its best, while "The Grand Duel" typical Spaghetti Western soundtrack at its finest. Even veteran as Bernard Herrmann ("Pschycho") or Charles Bernstein ("The Magnificent Seven") may prove what they have been but for fantastic composer again. Furthermore, it also is to hear "5.6.7.8 Use The" classic funk of Isaac Hayes and bizarre rock'n'roll of Japanese Combo. Again Tarantino has put together an entertaining and original soundtrack, which in no way inferior to its predecessors - up on the season, that is a little skimpy with just under 40 minutes.
