With the exception of lead actor Thomas Borchert None of the present on the concept album Musical Stars on stage in St. Gallen. The selection of voices for the album fits perfectly. Apart from Borchert's most Brandi Burkhardt as Edmond Dantes fiancée Mercédès be heard on the CD. This is a little surprising. Actually it is in the history but the revenge on the men who have Edmond Dantes raw deal. This imbalance is striking in the tracklist of the CD when you look.
It remains to be seen if that will put right on the stage again. A highlight of the album is "A Story Told" with Patrick Stanke, Mark Seibert and Mathias Edenborn. It sounds promising, as they forge their diabolical plan. As a contrast on the album follows a classic love duet "I Will Be There", sung by Thomas Borchert and Brandi Burkhardt. Typical Wildhorn, quieter and more timid beginning, dramatic middle part to forceful finale in which he stock response with everything it has to offer the orchestra up to a gentle exit follows as surely as the sun after a violent storm.
A song of courage makes is "When we are Kings", sung by Alexander Goebel and Thomas Borchert. Apparently here adopted the long-standing inmates and encourages him to persevere, it would be worthwhile. Falls from the musical context otherwise known by Wildhorn "Pretty Lies", sung by Pia Douwes, which one is more like a Stephen Sondheim would have expected.
