The publication of a book in French for learning a newer version of a computer language, such as Python 3, should be encouraged. This one starts this learning at the base, and continues to sophisticated applications based on a large number of corrected exercises and small scripts commented in detail. It is recommended for those looking to learn a new programming language, simple but powerful. However, I personally deplored the absence of a page or two about using arrays (matrices) in Python 3. Fifteen additional pages providing examples of small scripts using each of the different widgets tkinter were also much appreciated. Despite these few shortcomings this book is recommended as it has managed to remain accessible to a wide audience.
