This little book is very useful when we want to deepen the knowledge of the Cid. It is a clear and well structured text that gives us a lot of useful lessons. Are treated including the concept of love, glory, honor and freedom to Cornelius, but also topics such as "tragicomedy" and "lyric poetry". At the end of the book Alain Couprie gives four examples of an "analytical reading" that I really loved and there is a short bibliography for those wanting to go even further.
