Gipsy Blues (Paperback)

Customer Review

I was attracted by the story we proposed Jean Vautrin. Attracted by the contrast between the need for freedom and the constraints of society, between instinct and education.

Runkele Cornelius was born Gypsy. He was raised by his grandfather, a violinist survivor of concentration camps and by his stepmother who ensures it receives a good education, integrates and sedentary.
Good student, he studied, spends his tray and continues to integrate into society. Cornelius is not only considered a citizen but built like a gypsy.

The duality between the instinct of the blood and education, between movement and immobility Cornelius leads to a path where he wanders. Despite his love of words, books and writing, the young gypsy will follow his thirst for freedom and transgression of the rules. This way the house of correction leads to petty crime and ultimately to prison.

The way the author slips into the skin of the gypsy by telling us the story he set in seven books moleskine's really strong. It raises the hope, emotion and anger. It reveals the opposition of two lifestyles, two worlds. It expresses the difficulty of living between two cultures, rejection and intolerance while questioning the reality of individual freedom.

Gipsy blues is a novel full of emotion, tenderness, anger, hope that touched me.
