One hope, one should have: "American V: A Hundred Highways" may yet remain out the last Johnny Cash album. Because let's face it: Better can not assign an artist. What Rick Rubin and the old man, who has died almost three years ago now deliver, with this record, can only be described with one word: Beautiful. Twelve songs, each a little Country-folk masterpiece, so moving that you only want to cry. Do not you think? Then listen to it please the Hank Williams cover "On the evening train." Here, when using the cello or the little guitar solo begins, then the skin around even entire guys. With three songs on "American V" is cash is likely to have again approached one more piece of immortality. "If You Could Read My Mind", originally performed by Gordon Lightfoot, is in its reduction just awesome. Bruce Springsteen's "Further up on the road" is as refined as Rod McKuens "Love's been good to me". Rest in peace, Johnny Cash. And thank you for this beautiful album.
