Especially worth mentioning is the (printed) German manual. Not that I necessarily need a specially german manual, but it is written so nice that you just get pleasure read it completely. You can tell how much the author himself is fascinated by the product and joy has in mind to explain it! - That one would wish for often!
Otherwise, there are very detailed reviews deal with the all important technical aspects. - That is why now so a few criticisms or suggestions for improvement -. Maybe someone reads of Fa Znex with ...
- You can not be displayed on the device itself, the coordinates stored in the return mode five GPS locations (hotel, car, favorite place, etc.) unfortunately. I would like to go sometimes, for example, "note" my position coordinates in order to PC or laptop to read later without connecting again. For the five position memory would be quite suitable. The function could be implemented simply: Clicking the "Enter" in the appropriate mode and the coordinates are displayed (analogously as in FM mode).
- Tolls. Is this just a production error in a limited number of devices, but mine was affected: The miniHomer come with a screen protector (and I mean even the manual says "barely perceptible" second film !!). Unfortunately, this had somehow reacts chemically with the plastic of the housing, so that after the removal of the film, the display to a 2/3 "sticky", had matte surface. These were definitely not any adhesive residue, such as when a price tag is not going down properly. It was the finish "dissolved" itself literally. Only after an hour polishing and abundant display polishing paste I had a satisfactory display surface. - Before the film is removed, the display looked the way of properly.
- The software for reading the computer (NTRIP and GPS Viewer) is unfortunately only available for MS Windows. Mac and Linux users out in the cold. I know, I know, you could emulate Windows, but even that is not really great. The lack of a Mac version was known to me before buying and for my purposes can I use the device without a computer connection. It would be nice but even if something would move in this regard ...

Most of the downloadable PDF documents on the website of the company Znex are protected with read password (including the manuals and the instructions for waypoint projection (new feature of the firmware) !!!.). That's my opinion, but arg petty! Actually, I think it goes without saying that you already can easily look at the manual of a product before buying is in order to know whether the service is any good and all the functions are implemented so that you can use it ...
But as I said, these are only points, which could be the miniHomer (and the trappings) perfect yet. Already there is a great, recommendable device!
