So after I have several months to Acer T272HULbmidpcz (IPS panel) have now in use and in the meantime also had the Acer T272HLbmidz (VA Panel), I would like to share my experience with you.
The Acer T272HULbmidpcz (IPS panel) (hereinafter "IPS") I had purchased for 799 Euro, the Acer T272HLbmidz (VA Panel) (hereinafter I will abbreviate this as "VA") I had an offer for Amazon get 399 euros instead of 499 euros.
First, a few words about the VA. Now, the price advantage is given and I ordered the monitor as a gift. Unfortunately, this was but delivered by DHL without additional, neutral box so that was immediately apparent what was there just sent and so it was that somewhere got lost between the front door and post office. Apparently there was at the time more often in my area missing deliveries.
Finally, I received a replacement, which I then but could not give - because late - and I similar for me as a touch device for media control andachte. To anticipate: the device I sent back.
The VA device did not like me. The touch operation was good but the picture was dull and especially fluctuated at changing the viewing angle. I had almost to have to remain a feeling in my position to not constantly bear the image must change. That was NIX and for the price of 400 or 500 euros, I find definitely for the screen not adequate - so nice that Touchen may be.
Especially the direct comparison chain but what a brilliant picture of the IPS Monitor delivers. Colors are beautifully intense and my higher resolution for VA panel is personal but worth much, why I had this anyway preferred to the VA panel. I like it to get a lot of content on the screen and make the text readable, are the 27 "excellent. So I'll spare from me and my other screens as easily leave two Word or PDF document Show next to each other, for example.
In order not to formulate in detail each point I summarize the
Advantages and disadvantages of Acer T272HULbmidpcz in brief together:
+ 27 "screen size
+ High qHD resolution (2560x1440) - I will not want to miss in the size (the resolution also create many good laptops such as the Dell XPS 12 Convertible -. To 4K still fail many notebooks)
+ Intensive, beautiful colors with good color rendering (View photos makes a lot of fun)
+ Good screen brightness
+ Great contrasts without the loss of image detail
+ Touch functionality is reliable (unfortunately I have these been used rarely, with me this was important. Without the function I had not decided on the Acer!)
+ USB 3.0 HUB (but only 2 terminals and in Logitech Unifying dongle with a USB3.0 flash drive is spinning the mouse - no longer reacts)
+ Position of the HUB comes in handy to quickly insert a USB flash drive or use a USB Ventialtor.
+ Many ports (DisplayPort, HDMI, ...)
+ Screen can be quite flat, "down" on the table, which is very useful for touch operation.
+ Continuous disk
- USB HUB zickt with me
- Display reflects heavily (for the beautiful colors)
- Display can not be adjusted in height and rotate the side is also elegant
- Display required by its rear stand quite a lot of space on the table (the back foot should remain in observation, otherwise you accidentally shoves him if necessary from the table)
- Replaces no graphics monitor for example for high-quality photo editing (my 3 year old NEC MultiSync PA271W (also 2560x1440 and then bought for 1200 euros) with matte display the T272HULbmidpcz can hardly replace.
- Very annoying: I have between the outer pane and the screen near the middle of the screen a fat grain of dust that stands at the very least at medium and darker image contents into the eye. After I changed my wallpaper to a restless and rather brighter, but no longer falls on so much. Annoying it is still something and shake etc. also did not help. I do wonder how the quality checks at Acer and look like dust-free manufacturing is maintained. :-(
No statements I can make the gaming capabilities. Certainly the monitor beautiful colors and a crisp presentation in accordance with powerful computer supplies but in terms of image building it is possibly a little too slow for fast games. For now and then but it should not be a problem.
Conclusion:
I use the screen very happy and would recommend him to anyone who would like to have the touch function. The high resolution of 2560x1440 pixels at 27 "screen size is unfortunately still at a low and therefore there are not too many competitors. The picture is great and who does not just have the sun at his side or in the back which can handle the strong reflection ,
But who but also looking for a 27 "monitor without touch function with commendable qHD resolution for upscale but not necessarily professional use, I recommend rather the NEC MultiSync PA271W (but is that old hard to get) or the ASUS PA279Q (770 Euro ) or ASUS PB278Q (490 euros) or even better a screen EIZO.
Updated on 08.19.2014:
So, after further months of use I can confirm my vote only once again. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the screen, which has now fallen from 800 euros up to 600 euros in the price.
The USB port on the side I am using currently quite happy to run a USB fan with gooseneck. The height is ideal.
The mirroring falls in these bright days already negative and I have often differ from my optimum brightness settings and set it to maximum brightness to still clearly visible the screen.
The operation on my notebook, for which it is primarily in use, otherwise functions without problems. The trouble is that Windows no or no scaling clever riff on certain programs. But I take it as a rule without scaling, must the setting at Full HD notebook but then turn it over again when I switch to classic notebook operation.
The touch operation I do not use too often. Sometimes I even renounce it, for example, if I up scrolling in a text, look at photos or wants to call a program because I want to do without brushing the screen - even when it comes just fine with a good cleaning cloth.
Overall, it remains a recommendable device.
