Original Review: For almost 10 years I had been working with the company Iron Braun previously (Freestyle Series). but unfortunately occurred in these irons for several years always the same effect: they caused a short circuit (of course, always looking for the 2-year warranty!). Therefore, I have decided about 4 months ago for this Philips model. My assessment compared to my Braun freestyle models:
+ The Philips Iron makes a very well-made impression.
+ The price / performance ratio is very good
O The bracket Power / smoothing I feel as equivalent.
- There is a lot heavier than the freestyle models, which complicates the handling. But I got used to it after two weeks.
- Unfortunately, the soleplate of the Philips caused significantly more noise than the brown models. Of course that's not deafening, but if you like I like watching when ironing, the additionally required television volume is already markedly.
- The pouring in the water does not succeed as well as the brown, because the filling opening has failed small and you must also place the iron upright. Moreover, one can hardly realize how much water you have filled.
- Achieved since the Braun models better horizontal shot of steam. This is what I mostly use to gently as possible aufzudämpfen suit trousers and -jackets.
All in all I can recommend, because the price / performance ratio as well as the basic characteristics vote buying quite. The Philips does not reach my opinion, but in detail the finesse of Brown-competition. I therefore hope that the long-term purchase (hopefully no shorts!) Pays ...
