We bought the ear protectors for our baby 5M because we wanted to go to a street party with very loud music. Our baby has strong jug ears, so that other hearing protection does not hold. YES, the hearing protection is very tight (test done on the leg) even for adults. We have therefore set him a whole day to a flower pot, so it expands a little. Since the child is in the stroller and also moves the head, the capsules were not optimal, so that the ears were sometimes wrinkled. The shells appear to be from a type of plastic, which is according to sticky sweaty skin. Our baby has not taken him from above reasons all the time, and thus sight does not deform the head.
There is also- we not wußten- previously 3 different degrees of hearing protection: Optime1: 87-98dB: is this hearing protection. You can still the area with ups and downs hear (typing on the keyboard), but subdued. Optime2: 94-105dB Optime3: 95-110dB (seems to be suitable for working with machines)
Had we known this classification earlier, we would have chosen a more insulation for the street party.
Nevertheless, in my opinion, it was better to have equipped the baby with ear protection, because it can not select sounds. It has despite occasional large volume not crying and in between even slept.
