To the device itself:
Decisive for the purchase were several points.
Firstly, the device only has few frills, which affects the price positively. I already have a good satellite receiver with wireless and web functionality and sound comes already on the music system, run on the device, all other connected. Thus, the television met with me only the function of a large monitor. Therefore, it was important for me to get relatively few facilities for a correspondingly good price.
Secondly, the image has convinced me. Clear and crisp up in the farthest corner, fluid motion even in fast moving pictures and scrolling text without stuttering, artifacts or the like. A uniform illumination, which is not always given in LED backlight devices, the device offers also.
The third is because Cinema3D call. Finally flicker stereoscopy playback for your home. No expensive and annoying in the daily handling of shutter glasses, but passive and inexpensive polarized glasses, as we know well from the cinema. Positive going 2 my 3 glasses which I had lying around from various moviegoing, work with the television without any problems. 2 Eyeglasses lie with the unit already, more glasses, there are inexpensive to buy. For example. here: LG 3D Party Pack with 5 Cinema 3D Glasses for LG 3D Cinema TV
Unpack and set up is easy. However, it is advisable to leave at the size of the device, a second person to help.
The foot is fixed with 8 small screws on the device quickly. The Phillips screwdriver required for this purpose is not included and should be ready in advance.
The power cord is firmly connected to the device, so it can not be exchanged. In my case, however, it was long enough (about 2 meters).
The connection of all devices easily. All connections are easily accessible and labeled adequately. If the connection of a USB stick or a hard drive to be planned is to make sure that the plug of the devices are not overly thick. The connection is established namely at the side of the device, which offers not a lot of space. With very thick sticks it helps therefore to connect a USB extension cable.
With 3 HDMI connectors of the TV is not exactly stocked excessively. With satellite receivers, Blu-ray player and gaming console are in accordance with all slots are occupied. Who, like me, however, runs everything about his music system, so that does not worry.
The internal receiver I have not tested, but with respect to the station sorting I expect the usual Korean Bedienerunfreundlichkeit that not infrequently with the Central Europe need to sort out his transmitter, collides.
While the device has a CI + compatible CI slot, but this no longer, in view of the lack of satellite receiver as his only marketing.
The sound of the instrument is, in spite of very flat construction, amazing living room compatible. At least for the ordinary TV program, the internal speaker can not be mistaken. Cinema pleasure dislike arise about course.
The picture is, as already described above, perfectly. Sharp, high contrast, to detect natural colors and very well even in bright environments.
Cinema3D it can stereoscopically convert a normal picture. The result is surprisingly good. Not at the level of an image of a real "3D" source, but still well worth seeing, and in fact more than just a party gag.
In "3D" mode (tested with the film Resident Evil - Afterlife, on the player LG BDS590) makes the TV a good figure. As the advertising promises, the image is razor sharp, largely independently of view and actually absolutely flicker. Depending on the viewing distance from the TV you have to manually readjust something to elimieren double vision, but that was about it.
One shortcoming I then but still found.
The TV is still too small for a real "3D" experience.
Since the 47 "simply are not able to fill the entire field of view, the effect is simply not quite as intense as in the movies. LG recommends therefore not entirely without reason to take a view distance from the TV of about 2 meters. This is unusually close, then works but significantly better.
So if you have the space in the living room should be rather "look version of the device, or in the ranks of the 60" 55 Browse -70 "TV.
A large movie screen is now time to replace it with nothing.
Conclusion:
Good equipment, good price, no real weaknesses.
Prospective buyers should overlooking the "3D" play, be sure to choose the largest possible screen size. Every inch is a real gain. A tip of the way, for all the "3D" TV applies.
