Material used for testing:
Notebook: Asus Zenbook UX31A (2 x USB 3.0)
Devices connected to the Hub:
- USB Mouse (it is a choice)
- Wireless keyboard (RF connector)
- USB-Ethernet adapter,
- USB 3.0 external hard drive;
Write speed (external hard drive to pc): 100 to 110 mb / s (direct connection to USB3 port of the notebook)
Tests with these two products:
- HooToo® Multiprise USB 3.0 ports + 4-2A external power supply (aluminum alloy)
- HooToo® 4 ports USB 3.0 Hub (bus power);
Test Purpose:
- Ensure that no instability of the product and its performance during heavy use,
- The test was carried out after purchase of the product;
During the test:
- Copying a 32GB file to my external hard drive on my laptop and vice versa,
- Download 1.8MB / s (it happens in the Hub via USB-Ethernet adapter) for the duration of the copy;
Results:
- For the 1st product (2A, with external power supply):
+ Much the same performance as a direct connection to laptop to 5mo / s ready to copy,
+ It is stable and without problems accepts self-powered external hard disks,
+ I highly recommend! ;
- For the second product (5A, without external power supply):
+ Performances reduced almost by half,
+ Unstable when connected to a powered external drive,
+ I do not recommend it;
Conclusion: Buy HooToo® Multiprise USB 3.0 ports + 4-2A external power supply (aluminum alloy)
