I wanted to write something about the HP Envy 5530 I have until now missing in the Rezenszionen: The scan functions and the operating system Windows 8.1 64-bit.
I previously had a Canon Lide20 scanner and a printer HP980, unfortunately there is no 64-bit drivers for Canon 8.1 - if they do, it's too late for that :-)
When the package arrived, of course unpacked immediately and the light blue stripe away.
Then inserted paper - Phew, the filing goes out but difficult. No She was not glued. The printer does not just stand and therefore the tray could not move ... he was in the art!
The cartridges are running, but that's easy - why wiggle because. This is fiddly job, cartridges were then included and firmly in the holder.
When testing AC the same difficulties - I think for cartridge change should I be come a technician! :-)
So everything is connected and basic setting set on the printer, bit perplexed as further ... first connect the printer or installing the software, well what software first.
At some point you will be prompted to connect the printer.
We come to the BS:
Windows 8.1, 64-bit, 2TB, 16GB, SSD, GPU and CPU for room heating ...
The installation worked without problems until now the test with USB connection, both scanning and printing.
Let's talk about gimmicks: (Quick form)
One can controlled via the display Calendar, Sudokos, mazes, notepaper, note paper and even more - Oha, because it goes right ahead, Match 3 ... so that you can simply print out. There are always other Sudokos (easy - hard) want to have someone Sudokus? :-)
We come to the scan:
About the AIO (All In One) device, pressure-sensitive color display with a preview where you can see whether the template is straight and whether it is the right side. View on the small display, well ...
So we scan through the operating display by computer Usb, after a short time opens at the PC File Explorer (adjustable Explorer program, anything) and displays the new jpg file to. Template with the scanning side down right on the glass surface.
You can also to memory card (front left - is Sd it, but it will fit before three micro SD pure - that was a joke!) Save the scans or by Email (required registry for Web service - not done!)
The path where new scans land on the PC is the Documents folder so you can change the scan options on the PC, see the same!
The jpg scans are numbered.
About the PC:
Simply click on the icon HP Envy Series 5530, which is on the desktop, then 'scan document or photo' on, * .jpg for each image type, * .PDF and Tiff can be on the right settings such as color / B & W / Grayscale adjust resolution - under advanced settings you can change the path at goal.
If you click on the Scan button, you guessed it .... will be scanned!
With scan preview you can prune a little the edges, turn the scan, create multi-page scans. I have created here as an example PDF documents. These documents are not searchable for words!
The file name can always be changed when saving, here is no automatic numbering active.
Let's talk about printing:
Yes it is printing, the cartridges look pretty small from over the old. 301-78

Let's talk about something negative:
The scan cover: It opens backwards (long side) and remains perpendicular, the Canon scanner, it was the short side - you could see the scan object right and left from the scanning interface hang leave (depending on space), now the lid is in the way ,
Newspapers have very strange formats ...
By height caused the scan object hangs down and is not on the table as the flat Canon scanners!
You can hear a very slight buzzing noise that stops when the scanner is working (the other noises are louder :-)) or in standby enter (5 min).
