All around successful NAS

This is not my first NAS. The predecessor of a competing company and I was very disappointed, therefore I as a substitute have bought a DS213 + from Synology. As the device is in the living room, quietness was the most important criterion for me.

Already when installing the hard drive, I noticed that the hard disk bays are decoupled with rubber buffers. In addition, Synology has a large fan mounted running at slow speed.
You have to listen very carefully to perceive the switched NAS. The device is absolutely compatible living room.

The user interface is modern and graphically appealing. Through the dual core processor it responds smoothly and without noticeable delays. The configuration options are extensive and leave nothing to be desired. This is exactly what may seem slightly confusing to non-technical users.
The Quick Start Wizard guides you step by step through the necessary configuration steps. However, it is with some declarations sparingly, you can not avoid reading the documentation.

The software is up to date, what safe operation suggests the Internet even when using the cloud features and release.

All in all I am very satisfied with this device and would recommend it.
