I've learned to know Jamie Cullum with the grandiose album "Twentysomething". "Pointless Nostalgic" sounds very similar, is almost as good and well recommended! The songs are - actually amazing for the earlier work - somewhat less accurately picked and arranged not quite as expensive and great. But but the companion volume has more freedom, and the uses for some great solos - alone that I have so much fun that I will not soon more hergebe this CD. And Cullum sings with his (I find) amazingly serene, adult and unerring voice just as great as in the later work. My conclusion: "Twenty ..." is currently one of my favorite CDs and could loosely 7 to 8 star deserves, "Pointless Nostalgic" is a 5-case definitely.
