Positives:
* The mouse looks chic and at the same time discreet.
* For someone who works a lot on the PC, it really brings it all: two scrolling modes, four scroll directions and back and forth leaves keys (and a window list button that I not use).
* The mouse is of an intermediate size, so that it is mobile on the one hand, on the other hand for someone with small hands (eg me) provides a permanent desktop solution.
* The battery life is amazing and it works both with a, as well as two AA batteries.
* Works on many surfaces, as long as they are flat and not necessarily glass.
Neutral:
* The precision is less than the minimum of the MX518, what a but not really bother.
* It occurs relatively quickly superficial signs of use: The labeling of the Shift dissolves gradually, the rubbery surface segments on the sides rattling off something. But both will not affect the functionality!

Negatives:
* There seems to be a weakness of the series M705 (probably other Logitech models) to be that simple click generates after a while (a bit more than a year with me) mechanically conditioned double-clicks. This is because the mouse buttons located below the copper flakes deform after use. If you do not shy away from some research and manual labor, one can relatively easily fix yourself. However, this is only a medium-term solution. For this point there are two star deduction.
* On my second unit (about 8 months old) for two days makes the Shift some problems: it is only from stepped in the continuous mode (to come back, you have to click the mouse wheel in front of it). This is probably an exception.
In the end I'm very happy with the M705. They bring all the features that are important to me, as well as the double-click Problem. It can be very annoying if you have, for example, open two windows above each other and just want to close one. Even if you can fix for some time, so you have to eventually make a purchase. So a marathon run in only the batteries - they are quite capable of the mouse to survive!
