This comes in addition to the Panasonic TY-CC20W actually only the Logitech into consideration. For the Logitech Cam there but because of compatibility issues, a whole series of negative customer reviews. Since both cams are priced at the same level, I have therefore bought the Panasonic - and I am glad about this decision.
The Cam fits due to their very narrow and delicate design easy to combine Viera TVs, especially the minimalist designed models of the VT50 series. You can by a kräfigen magnet holder attaches to the back of the upper edge of the screen, leaving only the narrow black strip with the cam lens and a total of 4 microphones is visible (!). The cam can be grown within about + -30 degrees tilt, so that in any case ensures perfect alignment to the viewer. The built-in wide-angle lens so bring horizontally about 40 degrees on the picture, at 4m distance a width of about 4.50m. In the Skype configuration, the recording angle of about 10 degrees can be at the expense of resolution Decrease (digital zoom).
The picture quality of the videos is very good especially at night in artificial light and in dim light. In direct light (sunshine and large windows), the contrast is much too high and the image appears washed out in the directly lit areas. This can be mitigated somewhat by the picture adjust- ment in Skype; a really good picture but it does not get in this situation. The camera is clearly optimized for the "twilight" of a TV room.
The achievable sound quality and speech intelligibility, especially the action is excellent in all situations. One can move freely and the Skype partner (eg on smartphone) understands every word loud and clear in the room. This also works perfectly with several people in the room and relatively strong background noise (running vacuum cleaner!).
Last but not least: The cam works really excellent and the USB port of a Windows 7 PC! I have tested this, as my webcam was broken. The necessary drivers are in Windows7 obviously already exists - after first plugging the PC to install these automatically and the camera can be used for Skype, video chat and webcam applications eg. The quality on the PC is in my view still significantly better than the example of the built-in FaceTime cam iMac or my old HD webcam from Logitech.
