During the Blitz offers I have become aware of the Skymaster 15x70 and decided it just try it. The existing reviews draw actually a very positive image; the biggest threat seems to be to get a completely maladjusted copy, but even then one has - see the review by Uwe Pilz - even ways to correct the worst mistakes themselves.
So my expectations were not very high. What can be at a price of less than 70 euros for such a pair of binoculars, competitors quickly cost many times, you expect? At worst, a very smooth finish, blurred and low-contrast optics, on top of that maybe poor adjustment ...
However, I was disabused: After unpacking, I was pleasantly surprised. Good quality (certainly not at the top level, but for the price range significantly more than adequate), complete accessories (lens and Okularabdeckungen, strap, bag, tripod adapter). The optics convinced Sharp and high-contrast display. Optical errors are not noticed me, so I must have caught a well-aligned copy.
The tripod adapter I have not tried, but the rest of the glass meets my personal needs fully, so that I am completely satisfied. Given the low price, the surprise really, because more can you expect for the money is not really. Regardless considered the price I might give the Skymaster three to four stars, but given the excellent price / performance ratio, the glass has earned five stars honestly.
