Sorry, missing a few big names that probably for legal reasons could not be considered, such as the aforementioned Orange Juice and Echo & The Bunnymen, but The Smiths, The Go-Betweens (ever the Australian / nueseeländische corner with the Chills and the Bats), The Pastels, Subway Sect and The Teardrop Explodes. But that's just a small flaw - what versions of the Soup Dragons or Close Lobsters is more than offset by the sometimes very obscure early singles chart by later acts (Black or Del Amitri as examples) or rarities like demo.
The highlights were but for me the singles who often ran with John Peel and now and then found their way into the British indie charts. Be mentioned here as Anspieltipps: The Railway Children - A gentle sound, In Embrace - This brilliant evening, The Waltones - She looks right through me or McCarthy - Red Sleeping Beauty.
Overall, an outstanding cross-section, of wanting more. And if there is a sequence 2, then the following songs were on my wish list:
The Weather Prophets - She Came From The Rain, Bob - Convenience, Passmore Sisters - Dance this house down, The Pastels - Crawl Babies, The Membranes - Spike Miiligan`s tape recorder, McCarthy - This Nelson Rockefeller
