The format 8 inches (4/3) and the display resolution (1024 x 768 pixels) make it also a very good support for the consultation web pages. The machine shows powerful enough to provide a seamless experience, even with multiple active tabs or applications.
Regarding responsiveness, I point out that my first tablet acquired in 2011 does not compare at all ... and yet it was a top model. So, the products have evolved and it is not necessarily useful to spend hundreds and thousands for basic use.
Note also that the tablet does not get too hot. It's a pleasant surprise!
As many tablets available on the market, it rotates on Android 4.2.2. "Jelly Bean". No upgrade to 4.4 "KitKat" for now. That said, I do not have the impression that Gigaset will be split overlay of a particular or specific applications. Logically, the builder should be able to provide updates without breaking the head too ... but we wait to see him at work before to celebrate ...
Being already equipped with a 4.3 Android smartphone, I'm more familiar ground. This is used in the same way ... but on a larger screen.
Concerning the ergonomics of the device, we are dealing with a standard product with an aluminum hull. Neither poor nor exceptional.
We still dwell on the speakers, the poor will not fail to surprise (and the wrong way).
This is probably the big downside of this tablet, much more embarrassing than the little pixelation that we can see on the screen.
A word about the connection finally, where we find the classic Micro-SHC port, mini USB port, headphone jack. No microHDMI (damage ...)
Also note the presence of WIFI B / G / N and Bluetooth 4.0 single channel. No 3G mobile connection, or 4G. Outside the home, to access the internet via its tablet, it will either use his mobile phone as a WiFi router or purchase a 3G dongle.
The autononomie is not exceptional. Expect 1-2 days at a rate of a few hours of use and sleep during the day.
With little utility sensors Photo / videos, I do not émettrais criticism on this point. For this use, I prefer to use my smartphone whose size and weight seem more suitable for taking pictures ...
Last note, for those hoping to invest in a German product design. This tablet has been designed by one of the Gigaset shareholders (the company Hong-Kong Goldin Fund). Knowing that most of our electronic devices are often outsourced or built in South East Asia, this is not necessarily a criticism, or even demeaning remark, but it seems interesting to specify the origin of a product .
In short,
QV830 the tablet is a tablet ANDROID "basic" that can meet the needs of a "family" public looking for a tablet to surf the internet and some multimedia. Its only downside is its high mediocre speaker, which can eventually solve by separate speakers or a wired or Bluetooth headset ...
