For a long time I have Tina Turner's album "Private Dancer" launched again. I own the disc still in vinyl. I remember how many times I heard the afternoon as a teenager, this plate after school. Was that not the Pops 1984 comeback of the decade? Tina, who has gone through in their time together with Ike so much and was on the ground, reared up and took from robbing to its breathing second career. The album is full of energy. Pop-soul numbers like "What's Love Got To Do With It" and "Let's Stay Together" stand next to rock songs like "I Might Have Been Queen", "Better Be Good To Me" and "Steel Claw". And the title track "Private Dancer" will be borne solely by Tina lascivious voice. A remarkable, hardly wiederzuerkennende as put forward as a ballad cover of Lennon / McCartney's "Help" brings Tina Turner at the end of the plate. Overall, the album addictive -damals as today.
