This thriller does not fit a priori in my selection criteria. Usually I look for thrillers with literary, social and psychological qualities (three if possible!) And I'm not so attracted so huge plots they necessarily involve the President of the United States. "You alone" clearly falls into the second category but has nevertheless revealed a surprise because the mechanics are well oiled. The plot is well put together. The twists keep apace and remain credible. Herrings are induced and revelations are gradually distilled to a convincing conclusion.
