An almost flawless kettle

Since has not been listed here on Amazon much to the product details, I will first turn to the general characteristics of the device. The kettle in polished stainless steel with a capacity of 1.7 liters and is located on a 360 degree connector base. In lateral grip of Cuisinart CPK17E has a display, which shows the water temperature (in 5 degree increments), and the temperature selector 85 degrees and 100 degrees. With an additional plus button and temperatures between 85 and 100 degrees can be selected in 5 degree increments. These are then available after selecting briefly in the display, which again outputs the current water temperature after confirming the Start button. Illuminated is the display with a blue light. Also the water level indicator located under the handle is illuminated, indicating the level from 0.5 to 1.7 liters.

The temperature selector is very easy to use. The start button can also be used as a stop button if you want to obtain a water temperature below 85 degrees. After automatic switch off an acoustic signal sounds. The stove should be switched off automatically with an empty device, but what I have not been tested.

The polished stainless steel has a great look. In general, however it is also known that this kind devices in recent years, very fashionable / were, are very sensitive spot. With continuous care can the wealthier but under control. Inside the digester hardly plastic can be seen. Only the pipes for the water level indicator, the filter unit for the scale filter made of stainless steel, the cover tabs and the small shell of the temperature sensor in the base plate are made of plastic. Important: The surfaces (except the handle) very hot during the brewing process, because the device has no second envelope or otherwise be as insulated. Children or adults prone Tollpatischkeit should the unit so do not necessarily reflect the hand ;-) care is required!

The cable to the base is 70 cm long and designed for a stand on the kitchen worktop in the kitchen mE after more than adequate. In the base can be reduced to about 40 cm with a turn on a cable storage unneeded cables.

My conclusion after a few weeks: that you have to pay more for higher demands, is well known. To me the thing is its current price of approximately 100 value! Sole that the blue indicator lights continuously in fact, that bothers me a little. One might have the limit in time or perhaps can link about the water temperature, so not useless power is consumed when the device is not in use, be it ever so little power.
