Steve Jobs (Hardcover)

Customer Review

This is an amazing book, a book of nearly 900 pages where it was a description of a CEO outside the norm.

Who is this book? To everybody. Because the author speaks only very little computer eventually. Rather, it is an uncompromising portrait to give a taste of truth about the life of one of the largest employers who have never existed.

What do we really?
Steve Jobs was a man above all very tough and direct with employees. With a binary world view. Either there was none in his eyes or rather a genius. The dichotomous view par excellence.

His genius was not inventing itself a new object but take the best of the surrounding technology. Plunder techniques, inventions into a subject dedicated to the user. Master of design, he wanted the pure lines and visual finesse.

The most surprising is the psychological analysis of Jobs:
Steve Jobs was adamant, he always said what he thought even the most unpleasant things for one goal: to reach excellence. His wife says clearly p.435, according to Jobs had it a narcissistic personality disorder. His biggest personality trait is that he had no empathy. No remorse when he had to dismiss without notice or compensation collaborator. P.330, associates speak of management by the humiliation and destruction of individuals.

He had an inability to contain his emotions, p.373 we also speak of his hyperactivity, he could not hold up at meetings. A perfectionist at heart, this is a trais character who assured him his success. He did not hesitate to stop a project to start all over again if necessary. Check every detail, the flaw. Check all of the object manufactured to provide the must. Test models, software and have the best possible eliminating most miserable was the motto of Jobs.

It is conceivable that it is more pleasant to use than an Iphone to have worked with Steve Jobs. Yet its management passed a nauseating company almost bankrupt at the first market capitalization of the world, a feat.

Steve Jobs revealed the key issues for large companies. Their board and power struggles that prevent innovation. Several services are competing, in fact, for example, DVD sales service will see a dim view of rising margins online video service. So some people to preserve their power or survive will curb the ambitions of other collaborators.

When Steve Jobs took over the reins of Apple, he asked the entire board to resign. He wanted to control everything, turn the "zero" and surround himself only the best: the price to pay to innovate and produce the most advanced product in its market.

This biography is much talk of the participants cogs to the success of a business.
We understand better the desire to expose yourself to the cameras. Steve Jobs was abandoned by his biological parents at birth. He will have all his life a gaping wound caused by this abandonment.

Again, we see the importance of the binomial to realize a major project. We see this for Google, Microsoft etc ..

This is actually the Vosniak engineering BinĂ´me one who invented the computer language, operating system and motherboards.

Steve Jobs is the commercial, marketing of the king who will transform the engineering Vosniak Gold. The latter also confirms that without Steve Jobs, he would never have created Apple nor could market its invention. The dreamer side of the great inventor is complementary to the very commercial side and scathing Steve. This is the Magic couple.

This is a very interesting book in which we discover the secrets of the success of a man, and the hidden sides of a private life equally extraordinary.
