What book, story and series had really needed was a good editor that sweeps out most of the material in this book. If it is absolutely necessary, all the little sideshows and actions you can perhaps after the series again put out in a 'Director's Cut' - will work out great as well in film marketing. But apparently has probably unfortunately no relevant influence on Mr. Martin. Maybe the problem was also reversed, Mr. Martin has been forced by its publisher to provide something that could be put out, and that has come as a preliminary unedited collection in the trade ...
To book everything has already been said - it is not right on with the story, much seems bogged down, some simply uninteresting. I personally like the aspect with any undead and other magic not particularly. The first books marked a largely 'normal' medieval 'sword & sheath' world - that was total it was ideal and very well told, without the zurückgegrifen to be something
I will of course still buy myself the next parts of the series. But I am afraid that is also the 'second part' of Part 4 does not significantly advance the story, because it is supposed to play the same period, only with numerous other storylines. My hope is therefore a priority to Part 5 ...
