One ahead; the Fellowes AP-300PH PlasmaTrue is the best air purifier, I've seen so far, or run!
The device comes neatly packaged (2x carton) and well protected (Styrofoam) therefore.
When unpacking it makes an immediate good and qualitative impression.
You can see right away that this is a more sophisticated model.
Similarly, I find it very successful design.
The size is more than average for such an air purifier, it is almost like a small air conditioning.
The device has a wide display but also less technical people will have no problems with it.
Operation and display are really simple.
Before first starting up of only the filter pack from its packaging (foil) must be removed and reinserted.
When you turn the fan speed starts the air purifier in "Auto" mode, that is, it automatically adjusts the air quality.
The device is a sensor for air purity is integrated.
The air quality is displayed in green, orange and red (depending on impurities).
Next the display shows when the change of the carbon filter and HEPA filter is necessary (separate display for each filter).
The air purity sensor really seems to notice smallest particles in the air; swirls to the room (not visible) dust, and then turn on the unit, the display turns red.
After a few minutes of running it then goes to yellow and after few more minutes to green.
You can manually control the fan speed of course.
There are 4 levels; "Low", "Medium", "High" and "Turbo".
In "medium", the fan noise is pleasant in the volume and the air flow already considerable (not even manage our DeLonghi air cleaner at the maximum level).
In "Turbo" air throughput is enormous and accordingly loud.
This is one sure only in exceptional cases (quickly improve air quality in the room) need.
Absolutely surprising for the size of the air cleaner; in "low" mode, the unit is completely silent and really hard to hear.
There should be no problems in the bedroom at night.
Despite a clearly noticeable air flow is present even at this stage.
The air outlet is in the rest of the housing top, easily directed the outflow upwards, forward and slightly to the right.
One gets so felt no drafts, the Fellowes should be near.
For me also a pleasant surprise; the energy consumption.
I have found with my ammeter following values.
Standby: 0.8 watts
Low: about 5.1 watts
Medium: approximately 10.3 watts
High: approximately 17.1 watts
Turbo: approximately 60.5 watts
At an electricity price of 24 cents / kWh of Fellowes consumed at "medium" setting in 12 hours continuous operation for about 3 cents stream!
Looking at the equipment size and power, then I find that incredible.
Conclusion:
As already mentioned, the Fellowes AP-300PH is the best air purifier, I've seen so far for me.
He reigns supreme.
I can recommend it with a clear conscience!
