An excellent concert!

This recording (so far the only one!) Of the "Lord of the Rings Symphony" is a concert recording. It must have been a great evening: The orchestra (soloists and orchestra musicians from Switzerland), the choir and the vocalists are excellent and have the music under her skin. Conductor Ludwig Wicki is geared to the tempo of the film and works many fine details out. Since the recording (and the orchestral sound) is somewhat "easier" than the original recording with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, one hears much more individual voices out (even if it is a track less "epic" and "Dolby Digital" sounds). The audience present must have been excited breathless; you can hear it only when applause at the end of the 2nd and last sentence. A sensational recordings and recommended without restriction!
