So this is a much more versatile than traditional remotes "Powerpoint" offered by Logitech, Kensington ... which are most often lacking even what the mouse control and more expensive.
The arrow keys are convenient, under the touchpad. This works like the computer and moves the cursor just like the touchpad on the computer.
The keyboard is backlit. Although Qwerty, it was immediately recognized by Windows 8.1 in Qwerty.
The battery charging is done with a USB cable.
The function keys (numerous programmable - not tested) immediately provide access to volume control, launching video ...
The device was instantly operational once the batteries charged. No settings are required in Windows.
A red laser pointer is included. It works perfectly on a wall and on a surface illuminated by a projector. However it is very logically invisible on an LCD screen.
Finally the transmitter to be placed into a USB port on the PC can be stored in the device.
Limits:
- The batteries can not be replaced. The lifetime is limited.
- RF link power shortage. Some obstacles, even in a small room, can interrupt the signal. But it is moderately annoying because you just move a few centimeters to find the link, especially a LED indicates the status of the signal.
- Do not plan to use the keyboard for text processing: the keys are tiny, but adequate for a seizure of some letters quickly to launch an Internet search or edit text.
