Tour De Force-Shepherd's Bush Empire (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Since I already have so much recordings of Joe Bonamassa in my collection, and no friend of repetitions am, I did me very hard with the purchase of the Double CD Tour De Force - Shepherd's Bush Empire. But other reviews left caught my attention and I am happy now that I have gained this concert recording. The songs on this recording should be familiar to most interested Bonamassa-friends. So really nothing new. But the recording is so great and the songs are played just incredibly exciting. Joe Bonamassa is Ünterstützt band (Carimine Rojas-Bass, Valley Miners drums, Arlan Schierbaum keyboards) of a fan selection (Lee Thornburg Trumpet, Horn, Sean Freeman saxophone and Mike Feltham-trombone). By Bank outstanding musicians who are truly fun to listen.
In addition, the song selection is very well done and matched very appropriately. Individual songs would highlight the unnamed pieces do justice. In addition, my work after deeming Bonamassa song best when they are fully heard. Only then will they reveal their full musical and emotional mood. Nevertheless, I emphasize my favorite pieces on this CD as follows: Chains & Things (an incredible guitar solo at the end of the song) and The Ballad Of John Henry (excellent 13:24 minute version!).
I've seen Joe Bonamassa live in September this year in Münster, where he incidentally also played three songs from his new CD / LP. Many songs from Shepherd's Bush Empire, he also played that night. That is why this CD is especially interesting to me personally, because I have again felt many musical happiness of the brilliant concert experience when listening.
Conclusion: Despite many reps I did not regret buying this album.
