I loved Volume 1 and was eager to discover the Volume 2: déliquescence.Tout a program with nothing but the title!
The beginning starts smoothly, we replanted the decor which has also changed back to reddening house!
Cornelia is not very enthusiastic about this trip from the evening of the "Dance of the Vampires" that was literally transformed into "bloody orgy" but she decides to follow her great love: Henri.
It seemed that their love tormented by the past had finally turned a corner and was indestructible. But they did not count with the awful visions Cornelia gradually insinuate doubts in his mind as the serpent in Eden.
And nothing is worse for Henri that this terrible doubt that has already plunged into madness in the past.
These doubts grow Cornelia to want to know everything of the past Henri even endanger themselves and to oppose him. In response, Henry still contains more about himself.
Meanwhile, the threat of Avoriel is more present than ever even if it creeps into the dark.
I really loved "Spoiling" !!
The author meticulously weaves its web in the first part of the novel: a bit slow but it's true to the necessary development of the plot. This first part establishes an atmosphere of growing concern until reaching the breaking point. A domino falls inevitably causing the downfall of others: Cornelia's life will be changed irreversibly.
The second part of the novel is exciting, frightening, moving and full of twists.
We can understand this by discovering the past, including that of Henry and what happened !!
As to the last lines of the novel, they will leave you literally open-mouthed as the surprise is great! ...
Finally, a big congratulations to Georgia Caldera for this thrilling sequel conducted masterfully ...
