Customer Review

Initially, it is a "pad" of 533 pages and, as always in such cases, we say that we will have the plot to live up to successfully deal with them. Any reading is a new adventure, a gamble. And this time, the bet wins. It starts with a plane crash December 23, 1980, somewhere in the Jura mountains. There is only one survivor: an infant of a few weeks that two families will compete fiercely: Carville them, a family of high industrial bourgeoisie, and which take a walking Vitral chip shop on the Normandy coast. Carville Mathilde hires a detective to investigate to establish parentage of the infant, a girl who, as appropriate, would be called Lyse-Rose and Emily. Credulous Grand Duke, the detective, former mercenary, will lead its investigations for eighteen long years. This obstinate and patient work result in a notebook in which he recorded the whole course of its lengthy investigation and decides to give the day of his eighteen years at the girl, before committing suicide. It seems that at the last moment, just to end his days he had discovered an element that challenges all his investigation and brings light on the true identity of the infant. Through alternating between the story of the Gullible Grand Duke survey and that of the survey conducted in 1998 by Marc Vitral, the putative brother of the girl, the reader is drawn into an adventure more thrilling from Paris to Normandy, via the Jura. The more we advance in the reading and the plot is more complex. The suspense is growing over the pages, carefully distilled and assayed by Michel Bussi. The outcome is totally unexpected and perfectly brought. The writing is fluid, pleasant, punctuated by cultural and sporting evocations of the 80 A detective to discover.
